Welcome to St. John's Lodge No.1, A.Y.M.

St. John's Lodge is the oldest operating Lodge under the jurisdiction of the Grand Lodge of the State of New York. Originally chartered in 1757, we recently celebrated the 250th Anniversary of our Warranting.

Our Lodge maintains a strong and vibrant membership of all ages and walks of life, bound by a common tie of brotherhood and living our lives according to time-honored Masonic principles. We are also extremely active in local charitable work.

We meet on the third Wednesday of each month between September and May of each year. Our meetings take place in the Ionic Room on the 6th floor of the Grand Lodge Building in Manhattan.

Visiting brethren, please contact us in advance of your visit to the Manhattan area with details of your current degree/grade, the Lodges you belong to and the jurisdiction under which they are chartered or warranted. We will need to check that your jurisdiction is recognized by the Grand Lodge of the State of New York. Nearer the time we will provide you with a Brother's name who will be available that evening to inspect your dues card or clearance certificate, and examine for entrance to the Lodge.  This Brother will also introduce you to the Brethren present.
